THE PASSION FOR PIZZA
My name is Val, and I was born in Waterbury, I studied Business at the University of Pasco Hernando, in Tampa Fl. and lived down south for nearly a decade. While their I realized how much I missed CT and the food!. Cooking has always been my passion. When I was a little boy I loved to cook, spending hours in the kitchen at my dads shop, making a mess but learning delicious traditional Italian recipes, using authentic, fresh ingredients and preparing everything from scratch. I knew the suit and tie game wasn't for me. Today, I am still that same little boy playing in the kitchen; I like to experiment with different tastes and textures, tingeing from the Italian culinary culture to create my own personal recipes. However, I try to remain faithful to the authentic Italian traditions, flavors, and ingredients. Food is not only nourishing but also comforting, loving, fun, pleasurable, stimulating. Food is my passion I know most people consider Food as secondary to happiness, I think being happy is getting your fill of favorite food in the company of your favorite people. Nothing can beat the smiles around some great pizza. Thats what we strive for at Sal's Pizza.
